CTF to Present Alberta Pre-Budget Proposal to Standing Committee on Finance and Intergovernmental Relations

EDMONTON - The Alberta Division of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation will be making its pre-budget submission to the province's Standing Policy Committee on Finance and Intergovernmental Relations on Monday January 17, 2000.

The CTF's Alberta Director, Mitchel Gray, will be putting forward the CTF's tax cut proposals, as well as discussing the possibility of provincial tax rebates. The central focus of the presentation will be on the CTF's spending control legislation - a proposal to amend the province's Fiscal Responsibility Act.
